HOUSE OF KIN

A THIRD SPACE

ABOUT

House of Kin was born from a longing for slower moments and deeper connection. It is a welcoming third space, a cozy refuge for reflection, creativity, and community, where tea, ritual, and conversation become simple acts of care.

Our mission is to create a haven for kindred spirits drawn to the rhythms of the moon, the wisdom of plants, and the quiet magic of gathering. Through shared ceremony and intentional pause, we nurture connection to self, to one another, and to the unseen threads that bind us.

We believe in the beauty of ritual as everyday medicine, in honoring the cycles that shape our lives, and in building community that feels like home. Whether through workshops, ceremonies, reading circles, or a simple cup of tea, House of Kin invites you to slow down, reconnect, and remember that magic lives within us all.

A THIRD SPACE

House of Kin is not only a community and an experience, it will soon also be a physical space.
Our core mission is to build community for New Yorkers seeking connections beyond the bar scene.

Location coming 2027.

Join our free community book club as we read The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer.

In honor of the book's exploration of the gift economy, we will be hosting a gift-based swap market centered around sharing homemade, homegrown, handcrafted, and abundant goods with one another.

We invite each attendee to bring something they have made, grown, gathered, or simply have an abundance of and would like to share with the community. Offerings might come from your garden, kitchen, craft table, apothecary, or personal collection.

Some ideas include:

• Homemade syrups, jams, baked goods, or preserves
• Herbal teas, tinctures, oxymels, infused honeys, or other herbal preparations
• Burn bundles, candles, flowers, or seasonal offerings
• Crafts, textiles, prints, pottery, or small artworks
• Seeds, produce, dried herbs, or plant starts
• Favorite books, poems, recipes, or other meaningful treasures

The intention is to participate in an exchange rooted in generosity, creativity, abundance, and community care rather than monetary value. Together, we will create a shared marketplace where everyone both gives and receives. At the end of the gathering, each attendee will leave with a basket of offerings collected from the community.
